The City of Crossville and Stonehaus Winery are proud to announce, for the third year in a row, being one of the venues for qualifying rounds for Tennessee Songwriters Week for 2024.

Select songwriters from qualifying rounds will advance to seven pre-determined showcase events in Memphis, Franklin, Gallatin, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Gatlinburg and Johnson City Feb. 18-24, 2024. Special events will also take place statewide. See contest rules for entry.

NOTE: This page is ONLY for songwriters to register for performing at this event. If you’d like to attend this event as a spectator, tickets are only $10 and can be purchased online at eventbrite.com.

The Stage

Songwriters will perform their song on the Catwalk Stage at Stonehaus Winery. This stage stands eight feet off of the ground over the wine. You will be required to climb stairs and take your instruments up.

The Songwriters

There are limited slots for the competition on February 3, 2024 at Stonehaus Winery in Crossville, TN. Signups begin December 15 at 9am and end on January 29 at 3pm. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Entrant must perform one (1) original song not to exceed five (5) minutes. Entrant must sing an original song which Entrant owns/retains the rights to perform and either wrote or co-wrote. Entrant may sing acapella or have live accompaniment. Light percussion is allowed if there is no set-up time necessary. Entrant may bring up to two (2) performers to play an instrument. Back up tracks are not permitted.

Sound equipment will be provided. If you play a musical instrument, you must bring it with you. While you may sign up as a single, duo or trio, no accompaniments/instrumentalist/bands allowed with the songwriter.

The Judges

Brandon Bostic is an award-winning musician, engineer and producer working with bluegrass, Americana, and country artists at the forefront of their genre. GRAMMY winner, Valerie Smith, gave him his start playing guitar and singing harmony vocals with her band, Liberty Pike. In 2015, Bostic made his Grand Ole Opry debut with Country music legend, Patty Loveless, as a member of her world-renowned band. Brandon is also a member of Nashville’s “The Likely Culprits”, a “supergroup” comprised of some of Music City’s best session musicians.

Keith Garrett is a singer/songwriter and musician from East Tennessee. He is a founding member of The Boxcars, a Grammy-nominated bluegrass band and one of the most nominated groups of the International Bluegrass Music Association. Many of Keith’s songs were featured on all four of the records produced by the group, and he has also co-written with some of the best writers in bluegrass and Americana.

Chris West is a founding member of Blue Moon Rising, an East Tennessee bluegrass band known for its original material, much of which was written or co-written by Chris himself. As a part of Blue Moon Rising, Chris has led songwriting workshops all over the country and is particularly well known for his expertise in bluegrass and classic country. Chris has had dozens of songs on the bluegrass and Americana charts.
